Valesha Lewis is attending Massasoit Community College. Alray’s first graduate, Keyana Washington, will mentor her.
Valesha is inspired to go back to school by her son. “Before I had my son, I kept giving up,” She says. “Now, I want to better myself and inspire him.” She is excited about how much she has in common with Keyana and looks forward to building their relationship. Keyana says that her position as an Alray graduate, board member, and Boston Public Schools educator will give her mentorship a personal touch.
