The Alray Scholars Program announces a new career services program to support scholars and graduates with their careers!

We provide one-on-one job coaching to scholars and graduates. Our job coaches will walk you through searching for jobs, creating and revising your resume, writing your cover letter, preparing for interviews, negotiating offers and salaries, and more!

For scholars and graduates looking to learn more about different career options, potential employers, and grow their networks:

Ross Marshall

Ross Marshall

Ross is a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategist experienced in designing, building, and leading measurable and scalable DEI programs and initiatives. He is currently the Senior Director of Community Engagement at the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council.  Ross holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Bates College. 

Nefyn Meissner

Nefyn Meissner

Nefyn is a Senior Recruiter at McKinsey & Company. He also volunteers as a mentor to alumni of his graduate school and veterans. Before his current role, he worked at the Harvard Law School Admissions Office for over 7 years. Nefyn holds a Master’s in Education from the Harvard School of Education and Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Parna Sarkar-Basu

Parna Sarkar-Basu

Parna advises tech companies on effective marketing and branding strategies. She is also an advocate for growing and empowering women in technology. She actively works to ensure that women are equally represented on panels and corporate initiatives and is a voice for gender inclusivity. Parna holds a Master’s Degree in World Literature and Economics from Delhi University.

Robert Sherman

Robert Sherman

Robert Sherman is a retired partner at law firm DLA Piper. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Lenny Zakim Fund. Robert holds a law degree from Northeastern University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Haverford College.

Eric Steinert

Eric Steinert

Eric is a Learning Assistant at Weston Public Schools. He transitioned to a career in education after spending over a decade in fundraising, philanthropy, and marketing. Eric holds a Master’s degree in Management from Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College.

Mary Bertrand

Mary Bertrand

Mary Bertrand is the Associate Director of Career Advising at Boston University’s College of Engineering. Mary holds a Master’s degree in City Planning and Urban Affairs from Boston University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Communications from Salem State University.
