Carol Pacheco is a first-generation college graduate who is passionate in her work supporting inner-city students. She is a proud graduate of the Worcester Public Schools where she first discovered her love for the field of education. Carol received a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Sociology from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Carol was the Founding Operations Associate for both Excel Academy Charter Schools in Chelsea and Orient Heights-East Boston. As the Founding Operations Associate, she assured the functionality of the School-Community’s day-to-day operations. The Excel Academy Charter School network in East Boston and Chelsea has become the model of education success in the area. Most recently, Carol has been working for Boston Public Schools in the Office of Human Capital, where she has provided staffing and evaluation support to both schools and the district’s central offices. Carol also provided operational support during the turnaround process of the district’s vocational high school, Madison Park. Her work with the Boston Public Schools has assured that students have qualified teachers and dedicated support staff who can provide students with an exceptional education. Carol is a mentor for Alray Scholars where she provides career and educational support to scholarship recipients.
