The college debt crisis is even worse than you think

Alray Board president Neil Swidey, who is a staff writer for the Boston Globe Magazine, usually keeps his two worlds separate. But his most recent Globe cover story focuses on an issue that is central to our mission at Alray: the pressing need to help Boston students who dropped out of college, with no degree and often lots of debt, return to campus and graduate.

However, none of the students featured in this Globe article are affiliated with Alray. The article, which contains some stunning and sobering statistics, is generating much-needed discussion around the important subject of college debt. So we’re pleased to share it here.
