ABOUT THE ALRAY SCHOLARS PROGRAM – WHY SUPPORT US

Through mentoring and financial support, our unique grassroots 501(3) c provides promising graduates of Boston Public Schools (BPS) a second chance at college by helping them return to campus and graduate. We assist scholars in overcoming the barriers standing between them and the degree that will allow them to become stronger contributors to the Greater Boston community. Renewal and finish line scholarships are available until graduation. Career and employment services are also provided to our scholars.

To date, Alray has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships and has helped more than 30 students who left college go on to earn their degrees, from universities including UMass-Boston, Northeastern, Mt. Holyoke, and Lesley. Many more Alray Scholars are now poised to do the same. In 2008, we started with three scholars and have grown to our current level of about three-dozen Alray Scholars enrolled at any given time. With your support, Alray Scholars will help change more lives and defy expectations in the next decade and beyond.
